INX’s: Hello, I’m iCey. I’m originally from Davao city (kababayan ko si Walter), and now I am working in Cebu City, Philippines. I am a ‘chatter’(daw) in MIRC, DalNet to be specific. Hmmm…how did it started? It all started in IRC. I was a dj from another online radio station when I met Walter (DjKoRn). I’m not a radio dj, I was just asked and taught to stream on air by a friend in IRC way back 2008. Since then, I started the ‘icy cool hits’ afternoon slot. I got positive response naman, it was overwhelming. I didn’t know that I could have the chance to be a DJ, though not in a regular FM radio station, but it’s international naman. I got the hang of it, nakakaadik…LOL… I got regular listeners mostly my friends and the people in MIRC, and Walter is one of them. I didn’t know that he also owns an online radio, until one day, something happened, dunno, server down I guess (sa kabila). Well, DjKoRn asked me a favor to stream with his Radio on that day, since I don’t have anything to do naman and so that the people and chatters won’t be bored. However, total misunderstanding ang nangyari. I can’t forget that day talaga, there was…war??? hahaha grabe yung araw na un dami nangyari…LOL…anyway, naayos na din naman yung misunderstandings na yun after a few months. Tuloy parin streams namin with ‘d origs’. I’m proud to say, I’m one of the pioneers nung 2009 when we pilot www.djkorn.org on MIRC. We were 4 lang yata noon, including Walter, then nadagdagan ng nadagdagan ang DJ’s and ang mga listeners. Nadagdagan din ang mga online radios on IRC, pero solid parin kami. So there…I wasn’t able to stream for a long time because of work (I went to Bacolod for work), and I don’t have a stable internet connection. Now, I’m so glad to be back, I missed this, I missed streaming, I missed my co-dj’s, the listeners of course, and there were new additions to the DjKoRn Family na I just met. It was a warm welcome and positive response from the listeners. I’m having fun, and I consider this as a recreation and a stress reliever. I love music, and I love what I’m doing. Hope to be a part of DjKoRn Family to the rest of my life…
